Our Polymer Bead Slip-Resistant Additive is the perfect solution for getting that secure, anti-slip finish to your coating or clear sealer. The properties in this additive allow it to be used with our clear sealers, and not effect the transparency of your finish!

The polymer bead is added to the product, prior to mixing is best as this way it doesn't effect your pot life. Mix the polymer bead into the largest part of the product first, for 3 minutes to ensure this is thoroughly mixed in; in most cases this would be Part A, however in our water based products it could be Part B. Then continue applying your coating/sealer as detailed in the product information sheet provided.

Using the polymer bead will slightly mattify your finish, if you have a glossy coating and use our polymer bead this will look more like a satin finish when the light hits it due to the slip resistant properties this contains. As this is such a fine, powdery substance, it doesn't leave a gritted finish, instead it changes the surface profile of your coating to leave a similar effect to non slip tiles.

The quantity of polymer bead depends on your unit size, we always advise at least 10% of the full unit volume. This means, if you have a 5kg unit, you will need 500g of polymer bead to achieve a good slip resistant rating.

Using our Polymer Bead will not have any effects on the strength, colour or curing times of your coating, please always follow instructions given or ask our team for advice.
